Harry Richter, CCM has served as the General Manager of The California Club since 1984. Harry came to The California Club after 11 years as the General Manager of The St. Louis Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri. He also served as the General Manager at The P.G.A. National Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida from 1968-1973.

Mr. Richter studied at Cornell University School of Hotel Administration majoring in Hospitality Administration. He also attended Schweizeriche Hotel Fachschule, Luzern, Switzerland, majoring in food preparation, catering and table service. He is a Certified Club Manager and an Honor Society Member. He is a member and past president of the Distinguished Clubs of the World. He is also a member of the Chevaliers du Tastevin and of the International Confrerie de la Chaine Des Rotisseurs (Los Angeles Chapter Bailli).

Harry has continued to be the guiding force for 24 years at The California Club. With Harry at the helm, almost every centimeter of the Clubhouse has been attended to from the smallest details to retrofitting the entire Clubhouse to comply with certain guidelines.

Eight years ago, Harry hired and trained a gentlemen that will now be taking his place, Mr. Peter Schaub. The Club is indebted to Harry for his unsurpassed management skill and his foresight. One of Harry’s greatest gifts to the Club is ensuring that his legacy of excellence will continue into the next generation with Mr. Schaub.
